New Gmail Design Launched – Try It

After just 3 days of introducing Google + (Google Plus), new social networking site, everyone is either all praise for the platform or running around asking for Invites. I had posted a sneak peek to all the new features and user interface changes in Google Plus yesterday but today is about Gmail.

With the introduction of Google +, the company has made significant user interface changes for its Search Engine and Gmail is no different. The look and feel resembles the styling used for Plus. Try it now.

How to activate the new Gmail Look?

1. In Gmail, click the gears icon (), and then choose Mail settings.
2. On the Settings page, click the the Themes tab.

3. Click either the Preview or Preview (Dense) theme.

The new Gmail interface will eventually expand dynamically to accommodate different screen sizes and user preferences, but until then, you can pick the information density that you prefer.

As per the Google Labs post about this feature you can switch back to any other theme at any point. So give your Gmail the new Look and enjoy. Do share here in the comments below of what you think of the new design.
