Revolution 2020 – Chetan Bhagat’s New Book

Chetan Bhagat, one of India’s most popular authors and among 100 most influential people according to TIME magazine announced his 5th Book today at 11am.

As opposed to what everyone was guessing that after Five Point Someone, One Night At Call Centre, 3 Mistakes of My Life and 2 States – the 5th book’s name will definitely have the numerical 4 (four) in it – the next book is titled – Revolution 2020 with the tagline ‘Love Corruption Ambition’.

Are you disappointed? Well, frankly I am a little. Was expecting a more interesting and creative name. I know some of you might be thinking, looking at the names of Chetan’s last 3 books, that how could I actually expect something like that. But frankly I did…

Anyway more important is the fact that the book will be released in Oct 2011 and as it happened for 2 states, pre-orders will definitely start and me being such a good friend, I will definitely let you know.

Update: Preorder Chetan Bhagat’s Revolution 2020.

Btw, the numbers 2020 does add upto 4, so the prediction was not that wrong afterall! Checkout the cover of the book below. πŸ™‚

    1. yes it is… Have read the prologue. Seems the book will be more in the lines of “3 Mistakes of My Life”…

  1. There is a post which would be helpful in saving your expense while buying the REVOLUTION 2020 book online @ Landmark, which is you only pay rs.84/- when buying the book at landmark with free India shipping facility.

    1. @Arun – Thank you arun for stopping by and promoting the Landmark deal… Hope you get some traffic now. πŸ˜› Btw, Flipkart is selling at the same price and Indiaplaza.com even cheaper. πŸ˜›

  2. @Piyush Agarwal… Thanks & Happy to receive your response, fyi though you can buy the book from flipkart for the same price, you need to pay extra rs.30/- for shipping as this deal is not eligible for flipkart’s free shipping policy as per their “Free Shipping if total order amount exceeds Rs. 100, Add Rs. 30 otherwise.” and regarding Indiaplaza.com you come and tell me whether the price of the book was same after September or any time later :)…

    1. @Arun – Agree to the shipping policy of FlipKart. And as you mentioned about Indiaplaza..lets wait and watch. I buy books online regularly…though not so frequently at Landmark.

  3. Revolution 2020 is expected to be the bestselling book among the other books from chetan bhagat… Revolution2020.co.in is a dedicated place for sharing your thoughts if you want you can share your thoughts there…

    1. Ya…but sometimes the story is way better than the title. Hope that’s true in this case as well. Fingers crossed. πŸ™‚

    1. I do not think the electronic version of the book is out. In case it is, I believe you can check out amazon.com though mind you it might be priced higher being an international edition.

  4. i literally disaapointed wth the story πŸ™ i hope chetan ll give a good story soon… i misseed chetan in that book.. so boring and old repetitive story wth a expected end …should have been much better

    1. Absolutely agree with your comment Gayu. Finished reading the book just yesterday and it is highly disappointing and depressing. The after-effect of the story was bad! Will post a review here soon.

      1. Totally agree with you Sneha, the book turned out to be quite depressing for me and the end a little far-fetched. The sacrifices seemed very forced and un-real. Still waiting for Chetan to come up with something really good.
