Check out Tata Nano worth $4.4 million made of Gold and Jewels

Yup, Tata has showcased a nano, the supposed cheapest car of the world covered with pure gold and jewels. This project to showcase the craftsmanship of Indian jewelers was carried out by the jewelery subsidiary of Tata. The car is priced at 4.4 million dollars, way more expensive than even a Bugatti Veyron, is up for sale for whoever is interested. The car is supposed to be touring across a few Indian cities before anyone can purchase it though.

This kind of display has attracted mixed comments across the world specially stating the step to be out-of-mind keeping the economic state and poverty of the country in mind. My only response to all those who are voicing such opinions is that, do not link the country’s issues with this kind of a promotion. This promotion is just to show off the kind of jewellery and art our craftsmen are capable of delivering thus attracting overseas business. If this kind of money would have not been invested in the car, it wouldn’t have reach the poverty struck people anyway. Also, with the way gold’s price is on a rice – even if no one buys the car in India, Tata will still get good returns over its investment. icon smile Check out Tata Nano worth $4.4 million made of Gold and Jewels Check out the video below from ITN for a sneak-peek.
