Steve Jobs makes news always. With Apple coming up with revolutionary, cutting edge products why won’t he! 🙂 And it’s always us (consumers) at gain, though our pockets do get lighter.
Apple unveiled one of its most anticipated products, formerly known as the Apple Tablet, the Apple iPAD. It’s a full color ebook reader, a killer for all the reading enthusiasts out there.
Its a touch-pad eReader/browser device which is planned to be shipped in April or May 2010. Though this product will take quite some time to reach India, it will also prove to be pretty expensive. The pricing scheme as unveiled at this point of time is:

(3G Model) 16 GB – $629 32 GB – $729 64 GB – $829
The iPad also has a keyboard dock to which one can attach a full size mechanical keyboard. It also syncs over USB through iTunes suncing photos, movies, tv shows, contacts, apps, etc.

Excellent blog.
What do you think of the iPad?
I tell ya, I was disappointed this thing should have been awesome instead Steve Jobs settled for a cheap device.
The Apple iPad looks crazy. I will definitely be buying one. I am just not decided whether to get the wifi or the 3g and which size to get.
Nice write up. Do you think the iPad will be a hit in India? It annoys me that the rrest of teh world always has to wait for these things, and then we don’t get the full package, although I heard that we will be getting the Apple iBook store now, so that’s a nice change!
@Tom – No Tom, I do not think that iPad will be a hit in India. Keeping the average Indians needs and income in mind, the iPad wil prove to be way expensive and an added pain. People may buy it but the numbers will be few. Apart from the iPod, Apple has not had much luck in India.
The iPad is much more than an e-book or digital periodical reader, though it does those tasks brilliantly. I want get it soon.
Yes, Sonja….get one and let us know what you think. Its available now.
