Chetan Bhagat is back with a 6th book and its called ‘Half Girlfriend’.
Chetan Bhagat, always has a way to make it big with his books. Like him or hate him, but you cannot ignore him! He always has a way of picking simple local stories and make them interesting enough for people to start looking forward to his books. He did that with Five Point Someone and has been doing that with all his books, all the way to the last – ‘Revolution 2020’.
I can’t say that people always like what Chetan Bhagat writes but then that does not deter them from anticipating and waiting for his book releases. Now that he has announced his 6th book, his website has already crashed thanks to all the flash traffic of excited people who want to know more about the book.
Coming back to the book. This one is again a story which will appeal to the young crowd, urban or otherwise! A Bihari boy called Madhav who falls in love with a girl Riya. Riya wants friendship while Madhav wants her love. Now who wouldn’t be able to relate to this premise. Almost every guy has come across this experience in his life when he fell for a girl who seemed out of his league. In this case, Chetan makes that apparent by making Riya an english speaking girl while Madhav can’t.
It’s what follows makes the book exciting for readers and beyond the regular hum-drum – Riya agrees to become Madhav’s Half Girlfriend! 🙂
Reading the premise, I can anticipate the story but I am still looking forward to reading it because of the moments Chetan is capable of creating between them. Looking forward to pre-ordering the book already. 😛
